Who Should Read These Books: All fantasy romance lovers

Okay so I have now read most of the books by SJM. I read the Court of Thorns series (3 books 1 novella) in March, then I read Crescent City in June and then August was devoured by Throne of Glass (7 books one novella). I can’t wait for the next Court book coming in February! I will be rereading that series in January in anticipation. Photo below shows my fangirl level if you weren’t sure.

Throne of Glass is about Celaena Sardothian, an assassin and all around badass bitch. She’s only 18 but she’s been training most of her life to be a lethal woman. She pisses off some people and gets sent to a mine to work as a slave for one year. When the crown prince, Dorian Havilliard, finds her, she’s withering away. But he wants her to be his champion in a competition. The winner becomes the King’s Champion and she would have freedom. So she agrees. Dorian is accompanied on the road by the Captain of the Royal Guard, Chaol Westfall, they are besties and also under the age of 20. So here are your three main characters. Dorian is a little cinnamon bun, he’s a bit of a dolt but such a sweetie. Chaol is a hardass with a hard ass and is your basic misunderstood smouldering heart throb. Celaena spends most of the book flirting with both of them and fighting bad guys and magic. Book 1 is all about Celaena proving herself as a threat.

If you haven’t read the series, I highly recommend it. Book 1 and 2 are really good, lot’s of fighting and magic and heartwarming adventures. After book 2, you should read the novella collection Assassin’s Blade. Book 3&4 Celaena really grows as a person and discovers a whole new side of herself, many new characters are introduced that you will love for the rest of the series. Book 3 is a huge turning point in the story. Book 5&6 happen at the same time in two different locations, you get a lot of really good build up for the grand finale of book 7, which is epic. I read the whole series in 3 weeks. The books were incredibly addictive and I honestly want to read them again asap. I have a major book hangover! So definitely check these ones out!

Happy Reading!
