Well quarantine birthday number 2 is done. I was really hoping that I would be allowed to see my family this year, but just before my birthday weekend, Ontario was put into another 4 week lockdown. I understand why this is happening, but it’s really starting to effect people and businesses. I am lucky that my job has been considered essential this whole year, but so many of my friends can’t work. So many small businesses are closing. So many people are lonely and just want to spend time laughing around the dinner table with their families. My family did a drive by present drop off on the weekend and I got spoiled!
My hubs got me an amazing set of Lord of the Rings books. My friend Mel gave me Kingdom of Copper by SA Chakraborty. My friend Jen gave me some awesome bath salts and a bath bomb. My friend Kathrin got me The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell. My sister appropriately got me The First Sister by Linden A Lewis. The bookstababes got me A Conjuring of Light and A gathering of Shadows by VE Schwab and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. And my mom got me The Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer L Armentrout. So many good books! I’m most excited to finally read the VE Schwab trilogy and The First Sister.
