Book Review: Take a Hint, Dani Brown

I finished my first book for The Bookish Month of Love V2 on February 1. I couldn’t put it down!

Book: Take a Hint, Dani Brown (Brown Sisters #2)

Author: Talia Hibbert

Pages: 361

Genre: Romance

Trope: Fake relationship

Steamy level: VERY

Rating: 10/10

I loved this second installment of the Brown Sisters series. I read book one Get a Life, Chloe Brown last summer and also loved that one. Chloe makes a few appearances in this book but you can read them as standalone novels.

Dani Brown is a Ph.D. student, every day when she gets to work she gives Zaf the security guard a black coffee in exchange for a protein bar. Dani is a bisexual woman that just recently broke it off with her “fuck buddy” Josephine because Jo “caught feelings” for Dani and that is not allowed. Dani doesn’t do relationships. But when a viral video of Zaf, the burly security guard, and Dani results in them pretending to be in a relationship, everything changes.

I literally had a lump in my throat or tears running down my face the whole time I read this book. Talia Hibbert knows how to write about love, and it’s mushy and fierce and sexy. I read this one in less than 24 hours and I’m eagerly anticipating the third installment in this series which releases in March.

Happy Reading!
